During his time at Digital Worlds, Sandeep designed learning experiences using media technology.

In what ways did your Digital Arts & Sciences (DAS) experience at the Digital Worlds Institute] prepare you for your career?

I came to Digital Worlds without much knowledge about careers in the creative industry. Digital Worlds exposed me to the myriad career paths that are available through a DAS degree. The reward for putting work into class projects is a portfolio that can be used for professional networking and applying for jobs and internships. The DAS curriculum allowed me to understand what areas of the industry interest me.

What do you like most about your current career?

Design, or any creative profession for that matter, requires close observation of the world around you. You develop a new appreciation for the world. It humbles you. Design also allows me to be both analytical and creative. For someone who wants to engage their right and left brain equally, design is the most rewarding career.

What are your favorite DAS memories?

So many-when me and my friend Matt hopelessly roamed the streets of Gainesville on Halloween night to find a costume for DW’s Halloween party, organizing the IDEAS summit, and the relief after passing my thesis defense!

What advice would you give to current Digital Arts & Sciences students?

Keep creating, keep making art whether people like it or not. And, separate your self-worth from your work.
